With the recent deluge, today's visit found the river with heavy colour. Given a couple of days without a down-pour though, I can't help but think it could be perfect...

Looks like I got my forecast from the same people as McLaren racing team.
I tied up some flies using your basic paradun method. They probably would not grace your fly box but they are a quantum leap forward for me. I am very impressed with the horizontal laying down of material, all the components seem to end up in the right place, no caught fibres etc.
